Shoulder Pain

Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder)

Adhesive Capsulitis, more commonly referred to as Frozen Shoulder, is a condition presenting with a loss of motion or stiffness in the shoulder, usually accompanied by pain. Frozen shoulder is most commonly seen in the elderly, but can affect anyone regardless of age. The exact cause of this condition is not fully understood, but it is commonly seen after the shoulder has been immobilized for a long period of time. Frozen Shoulder involves swelling or contraction of the glenohumeral ligaments, which form a capsule around the shoulder joint.

Treatment options include anti-inflammatory medications, stretching exercises, physical therapy, steroid injections, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), and Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC) therapy.
